http://www.labourdaisiere.com/fr/Accueil.html Chateau de La Bourdaisière in the Loire valley has a Kitchen garden exclusively devoted to tomatoes! Over 650 varieties are grown there each year. And I thought my 45 varieties was plenty enough. Have you ever visited this Chateau turned hotel? Tell me what you think!
It totally boggles the mind! I can't even grow one tomato plant (well, yes, ok but it only had two tomatoes on it and the ants ate one of them.) And you, 45 varieties? You must have a green thumb for sure. Certainly a place worth visiting, thanks for bringing it up!
Thank you for telling us about this chateau...I'd never heard of it but now I want to go there. 650 varieties of tomatoes and 100 varieties of dahlias? Sounds heavenly.
How would you ever know which was your favorite. Think they sing this song in the summer? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yiWcS4w1i0 What would life be without homegrown tomatoes?
