While in Paris we had THE BEST apartment with a balcony that enabled us to watch Eifel twinkle at night.Now we are looking for the same experience in London except we would love to be staring at the Parliment building while we top off a great bottle of red. Does anyone have a suggestion based on first-hand knowledge, or word of mouth? (By the way, if you want the name of the Paris place, let us know.)

Check out these guys. We've stayed in their Paris apartments, and they are just as you describethey specialize in very nice apts in the 7th with views of the Eiffel Tower. They also do London rentals, and I bet they have similar offerings. It's a husband and wife owned business and they are great to work with. http://www.londonperfect.com/

If you want to see the traditional view of the Houses of Parliament you will need to view it from over the Thames, from the South bank.
