Hello - we will be flying from Rome to Lisbon on November 1st (All Saints Day). Being very unfamililar with that holiday, can anyone tell me what to expect with regard to traveling? Do the buses/trains run on a regular schedule or a holiday schedule? Are stores open? Thanks for any information you can offer!
I was in Rome on All Saints Day. As I recall, the Metro and Taxis weren't a problem. The Vatican was open. There was a Mass and the Pope addressed the crowd in the square. The Vatican Museum was closed. I didn't notice any other problems. Haven't been to Lisbon yet, I would expect possible closures but not enough to keep you from getting around.
