Train or Plane?

Millie...I assume you're both arriving and departing out of Amsterdam. Your best way is probably by rail, since it's a long haul by car...800 kilometers (500 miles), which may be tough to do if you're not familiar with the area. You will have to make a few connections, with your final leg by bus through either Straubing or Bogen. Journey times are between 9 1/2 and 11 hours, depending on which train you take..and it's not cheap...130 to 140 Euro each way (hopefully, someone else can come up with a better bargain than that).
