Travel from london to Paris

What is the best train to take from London to Paris. We are arriving in London in the early morning and will be travelling to Paris for a few days. Should we make the reservation in advance or wait until we get to London?

You want to take the Eurostar from London St Pancras Station direct to Paris Nord Station. Travel time is 2 hours 15 minutes. You can check schedules and book tickets at http://www.eurostar.com. For the cheapest fares you should book well in advance.

Do what Michael says and book well in advance (up to 120 days allowed). The best discount 2nd class fare is €42.50. If you wait until you get to London, a ticket will cost you well over €100. If you're planning to go to Paris on the same day as you arrive at Heathrow, allow a MINIMUM of four hours between your flight's scheduled arrival time and your chosen Eurostar departure time. Discount fare tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. If your plane is late and you miss your train, your ticket will be worthless and you'll have to buy a new one for a later train at full fare. There is a minimum check-in time of 30 minutes for the Eurostar. Take the Tube (Piccadilly Line) directly from Heathrow to King's Cross/St Pancras. Its a one-hour ride.

What Michael said and I would allow 5 hours minimum.
