Air flights

I understand that its expensive to fly into Paris. Is it the same flying out? Three of us adults will fly into London, after about 9 days take the train to Paris, stay for a few days and then fly back to Portland, Oregon. Will it generally be cheaper to fly out of Paris or take the train back to London and fly out of there?

Don't backtrack unless you have to. Sometimes flying open jaws (into/out of different cities) can be less expensive than a round trip. The savings in time and inconvenience would probably be worth it in any case.

I second that advice. I found that flying into Brussels and out of Paris was generally cheaper than flying in to/out of Paris.

Brussels can be a terrific "back door" into or out of the EU. If I remember, it's only a couple of hours from CDG.
