Inspite of a bad experience with our apt in Paris, We found Paris to be beautiful and dreamy. We met with plenty of locals and enjoyed the little french we learned so we could get our pastries and chocolates and sandwiches. The Eiffel, Notre Dame and the streets are beautiful Thank you everyone for helping me prepare for this very first trip ever to Europe. I am sincerely very appreciative to all the people answering my questions!!
Glad to hear you enjoyed Paris, love to hear what sort of things you did to accomadate having a little one with you. Were you able to enjoy musuems, did you take a stroller ,, that sort of thing. I know we have had several posts by people inquiring about travel with tots.. and you seemed to fair well , so please pass on any tips you have.
My son is 21 months and he walks well, but still needs his naps. So, we took the stroller instead of the backpack carrier. He is on a heavier side. The stroller was a blessing because he would sleep for hours during our morning museum visits and the amazing walks we did from Rick Steves books during afternoons and evening times. The only issue was in Venice, since my husband would have to pick it up for ever bridge. But it was so worth it. We did all the walks in the guide book and are in love with Venice, Rome and Paris. I'll post more tips about different things which helped us with avoiding museum lines, getting passes, purchaing carnets, lunches and dinners at various places etc etc.
