I am going to drop off our rental car in Darmstadt then going to Strasborg Fr. to catch our river cruise...what transportation is available? Please help...

www.bahn.de, from Darmstadt Hbf to Strasbourg or Strassburg (you'd need to stick to either the French or the German spelling but "Strasborg" which kinda sounds Swedish or so won't work). You can take Regional Trains, Regional Express Trains and even InterCitys. In Karlsruhe you can even change onto a TGV train but it won't go high-speed on the short leg between Karlsruhe and Strasbourg. From Darmstadt Hbf you could even hop onto the free Maritim Hotel airport shuttle bus and then take the Lufthansa bus from FRA airport to Strasbourg. That would take much longer and be more expensive - but it's another option...
