What terminal are you flying into or connecting out of? If in Terminal 2 you can get a paper at a newstand, then a pastry & some coffee and relax. That's something anyone should do anyway after dropping off the luggage if they were going into Paris, so why not do it at the airport between connections? Or you can shop at the upscale stores at the terminal, but you can probably get the same stuff at home at a lower price.

Not really. 5h is too short for that. Just enjoy the airport as much as you can.
