I wanted to clarify is there a way to get passes to the specific museums without standing in line. (the 4 museums dosen't make sense since we only want to visit 2 museums and on the other days " Just look about and absorb Paris and not do it in a rush." Thanks Katie
Kathleen,, which musuems are you interested in? It is easy to avoid long lines without a pass by using lesser known entrances( at Louvre for example) , buying combo tickets( Orsay and Rodin) and getting a few online( for Eiffel Tower,, which pass does not cover anyways) . For the Towers at Notre Dame the pass covers admission, but does not allow line skipping, so go early.
Kathleen, I think you are talking about buying tickets, not passes. Avoiding long lines has a lot to do with the time of day and which museum you are visiting.
The Musee d'Orsay has a separate desk with a separate entrance for buying the Museum Pass. Lines here are minimal compared to the main ticket queue.
what has been anyone's experience with buying tickets to Versailles (if you can) in advance?
