I am planning a trip to Europe next summer and I was wondering if a railpass covers night trains? I was thinking that we would take the night train from Paris to Venice but I don't know if such trains are covered by a railpass. Any ideas?

The short answer is that railpasses cover a portion of the fare. You'll have to pay a supplement depending on the type of seat or bed you choose: reclining seat, couchette bunks, or private sleeper rooms. For more info head here:

So is it worth it to include the overnight train trip in my day count when deciding which length rail pass to purchase?
