Connecting Flight - Munich

I am looking at the flight options for my December trip to Paris. Once flight has us arriving at the Munich airport from Charlotte, NC and our flight to Paris departs 35 minutes later. Should this be ample time to make it to the next flight?

I find it odd that they'd have the two flights so close together if it wasn't possible, but I'm slightly concerned. That schedule does not allow much time for delays or any other unforseen issues.

Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Elizabeth, 35 minutes to make a connection is really taking a chance. Even if your flight lands on time, it may take you that long just to get to the terminal. If you book this reservation, you better check out the next flight going to Paris and make sure it has seats left before you ever leave home. I wouldn't take a chance, especially in December. You could have weather problems on either end. Presumably, you have a good reason for this routing?

Most international flights are on time if not early. I'm sure if you call the airline they'll tell you it's a legal connection and they'll charge you for any changes. I wouldn't worry about it too much. You may well be in the same terminal. Is the flight connecting to Paris with the same airline? Check that out, then go to the airport's website and you can usually get a list of each airline's gates. If you miss your flight, there will probably be several more they'll reschedule you with. If not, look at it as an opportunity to see a little of Munich.(I was hoping to miss a connection from Rome to Charlotte via London a couple of years ago. I had to change from Heathrow to Gatwick. Thought I go into London and see a show but I made the connection even with a bus accident. What a disappointment!)

2 Years ago we had a 35 minute connection in Munich and were worried. Several weeks before we left they notified us that our flight left 5 minutes earlier and we had to wait for a later flight to Venice. They told us that 35 minutes is Ok but 30 was not ok. Ive since learned from a travel agent that all flights thru Munich do the same thing. 35 minutes but no less.

35 mins is pretty close, I'd call the airline and see if they have other options. That's pretty low for an international to international change.

My last flight to Munich was delayed 5ish hours - but that was 11 years ago.

Even the wind could be a factor for you making your flight. If it's in your favor, you could land 15 minutes early. If it's not, you could land 15 minutes late.
