Spain Train Travel

I am going to walking the Camino de Santiago in May. I arrive in Madrid but need to get to Pamplona (and on to St Jean Pied de Port), the most economical way I believe I've found is by train. Looking at the Renfe website it offers a turista ticket for about 55.00 euros or so, I am 55, am I eligible for that? And is there a need to prebuy and reserve a seat if that can even be done. Additionally, the webisite reverts to Spainish, I can read it for the most part but want to make sure on these points

Barry,....turista is a class of travel, not a ticket price. Turista is second-class, 2 seats, and aisle, and two seats....quite comfortable, I find, with lots of leg room, far better than economy aboard a plane. The Preferente class, to me, really isn't worth the extra.
The 55 Euro you see is the regular price for the ticket. If you continue across the line, you'll see "Web" fares (60% off) and "Estrella" fares (40% off), all of which you're eligible for. So if a Web class fares is available, take it!

Thanks Norm,
That does save quite a bit of cash. When I first went to the Renfe website it offered me the Web fare for the time I want to travel, I clicked off of it and now it won't offer that, it was on 22.40 Euros, the other low price was 33.00 Euros or close to that, still quite a bit cheaper than the normal fare. I went ahead and got the Estrella tickets, they send them in a PDF file for printout, so it looks like I'm good to go. Again appreciate your help.
