I looked at all the hotels in the 7th A. and they were starting to get booked up. I booked at the Hotel Prince and the reviews were rather mixed. Has anyone had recent experience as they say the hotel is being renovated? Is the renovation complete? Thank you

You could call the hotel to find out about the renovations. I've stayed in hotels under renovation and didn't mind. The renovations usually apply to limited areas, but you can be inconvenienced if areas are closed. A few years ago I was staying at the Leveque. They were re-doing the breakfast area. Breakfast was available on a "room service" basis at the usual breakfast charge. I loved it! The breakfast arrived on time; coffee was hot and I had all the time I wanted to read the paper and enjoy my breakfast in peace. So it just depends.....
