Can anyone recommend a guided tour during a twelve hour (6a - 6p) layover in Paris? Also, what is the easiest and cheapest way to get into central Paris?

Paris Greeters http://www.parisiendunjour.fr/ is free and totally fabulous. We had a volunteer for two days (her idea!) and got a delightful tour. The only difficulty might be your limited time...
