I have been reading and doing my best research on finding the best paris hostel i can find. I am going for location and quality factor. Just wondered if there were any testimonies from fellow travelers. I am looking to stay anywhere aroudn the latin quarter or up over my eiffel.

yes i have looked at all the reviews but i feel afterbeing on these boards i would try to get reviews from folks on here. The MIJE hostel sounds good but the 1am curfew is kind of a con for me as not to say i want to stay out late to get wrecked, i though may stay out late and 1am may not be late enough.
Although you would prefer the Latin Quarter, I'll still heartily recommend any of the three MIJE hostels in the Marais. Both Rick Steves and Lonely Planet call them "the best budget accommodations in Paris." They are renovated 17th-century private mansions and are very centrally located.

Have you checked the listing for HI Hostels in Paris? They have four properties listed. They're part of a chain so the facilities tend to be somewhat consistent from one city to the next. Having an HI membership provides slightly better rates.
