Does anyone know how far/long of a walk it is from the ferry to the center of town?
Planning a day trip here in May and would love any information you can pass along about this town.

Yes, we'll be coming from Dover. Another poster recommended Boulogne over Calais as well.
I'm going to assume there are taxis/shuttles to get to the town center. can you confirm this? We'll be travelling with my mother and don't want to wear her out too much if it can be helped.

About a mile with a little traffic dodging. Assuming you're coming from Dover, it beats Calais, Oostend, or Dunkerque. You'd enjoy it.

Being a cheapskate, I always walk. Seen cabs in town, of course but flat can't remember out by the terminal. I have seen a shuttle bus. Don't fret, somebody will come along with the answer.
