4 nights on Romantic Road in Summer

Hi

We have 4 nights next summer to go from Munich to Frankfurt. Can anyone recommend an itinerary and what cities to stay in along the route? We have 2 adults and 2 children (12 and 11).

Hi Candace,

While not a "direct route", I'd suggest a 2 night stay in either Fuessen (Ludwig's Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau, Tegelberg cable car and luge ride, etc.) or perhaps Mittenwald (Karwendelbahn cabe car, Zugspitze cable car in nearby Garmisch, luge ride by Garmisch, Linderhof Palace, etc.) and then 2 nights in Rothenberg ob der Tauber (Crime & Punishment Museum, St. Jacob's church, take a walk along the wall and the Nightwatchmans Tour).
