4 nights in Europe Before Africa Trip

We are going to be landing in Amsterdam at 8am and have 3 nights we can go somewhere else. Then I want to be back in Amsterdam for a night before we take off the next morning at 10am to go to Africa. We are trying to decide if we want to catch a train to paris and see paris and stop at EuroDisney as we are big Disney fans...and/or try to fit London in. Or does someone have any other suggestions. Switzerland? etc. Never been to any of these places before..so we know it will just be to see a little bit.
Looking for easy transportation, and where it makes sense. I am thinking Paris and London would be too much. And Paris seems to more of a direct Train trip...but I am just starting to research. The time is January 2012.

Why not stay in Amsterdam, have you already been there? If so there are lots of day trips to other places in Holland that will easily fill thee days. Switzerland is too far to do it justice. If you must get out of Holland, Paris and/or EuroDisney are easy to reach via the direct Thalys high speed trains. Another option is Belgium: Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp...also easy to reach by rail. Since you will be traveling in January, you might want to do something really crazy like visiting the Ice Hotel and Snow Castle in Kemi Finland: http://www.snowcastle.net/en/

I thought I saw a direct train to Paris for about 3 hours...but when I just looked again it looked like it stopped and had a connection...so really about 4... If we did head to Paris/Disney. do you think it would matter if we went to Disney first then Paris...or Paris then Disney. NOT sure yet..but I am thinking land - go to disney - then stay nght -- head to Paris for two nights and then train back. Something like that..

The Thalys high-speed has direct trains to Paris every hour. Check schedules and purchase tickets at http://www.thalys.com. You can print your tickets out at home. The earlier you book the cheaper it will be (92 days in advance).
If you want to go direct to Disneyland Paris, you can take a train (either Thalys or inter-city) to Brussels, and transfer to a TGV high-speed to Cinderellas castle; the station is called Marne La Vallee.

I think you would enjoy Brugges and Brussels which are easy train trips from Amsterdam. But Amsterdam and surrounds can easily fill your time. Amsterdam museums are among the best in the world. It's a great walking city, good restaurants, superb architecture, the canals, etc.
