How long do we need to get a taste of Marseille. We will be travelling from Nice to Montpellier and wanted to stop in Marseille. Or should we be giving Marseille at least a full day?
If you don't want to take a boat tour, a half day is plenty to poke around the old port -- which is all that seems to interest most people. On the other hand, you could spend a week there and not get bored -- it's an amazing place.
