I am looking for a German language program in Germany with classes for at least two weeks in October- not student ones. Any ideas for adults over 50?
Check out the Goethe Institute, Sandi.
They are pretty much the most renowned, well-known and well respected language schools in Germany. They have locations from in the heart of Downtown Munich to little tiny towns you'd never see otherwise. They offer a variety of courses like that.
One of the main neat things about them, is if you take one of their small town classes, they arrange nights where the locals come up, so you can practice German, and they can practice English. :)
Sandi: Did you not see or not like the answer to this same question of yours on Aug. 8? I also suggested the Goethe Institute and told you there is one in San Francisco where you would surely get help for classes in Germany.
And here a link to Goethe Institute's language courses

They do seperate youth and adult courses. But from experience of learning languages let me tell you that the best success doesn't come from a class that matches your age group but from a class that really matches your current language level. But if age is important to you then yes you can enrole in Deutsch 50 Plus:

Sometimes it helps to contact the Goethe Institute directly by email and ask what kind of courses they do have available during the time you are planning to be in Germany. Especially with such a short planning time.
If this is not to your liking maybe you can tell us in more detail what you're looking for that neither Goethe Institute or Berlitz are offering.
We have had first hand experience with Goethe for the past four years and they are the best. Our son took classes there this summer and he said he felt that his German improved double fold in just four weeks. We met a gentleman who was in our son's class and he had been to several schools and he stated that Goethe was the best as well. Goethe also has a class for those over 50.
