Oberammergau

"How difficult would the travel be if we arranged it before or after the RS Germany, Austria, Switzerland tour? Is public transit possible?" I don't know where the tour ends, but Oberammergau has a train station. Getting there is as easy as any other town in Germany. The town is small enough to navigate on foot once you arrive.

There is almost hourly service into Oberammergau by rail from Murnau and occassionally by bus from Oberau. Both Murnau and Oberau are stations on the main line from Munich to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. There are also buses from/to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Füssen as well as to/from Linderhof. None of these conveyances is reservable. Seating is first come, first served.
