this rail site will give you the answer to your 2nd questionInput your starting and ending points, look at the various train choices that come up, click show details and show map to look at a map of the routes.It's only a 3 and 1/2 hour ride; I'm not aware of any obvious stops, depends on how much time you want to take. There's no hop on, hop off privilege, if you stop somewhere you'll have to buy another ticket from wherever you stop on into Milan.

Worth seeing? Depends.
We visited in May '06. You've got award coins from the Olympics of xx BC to the uniform of someone from the latest Olympics and everything in between. Do you like that kind of stuff? I did so I enjoyed the place.
