3 days in Zurich

We'll be arriving in Zurich via train from Venice, mid February 2013. Looking for rcommendations for first timers in Zurich who have three days. What are some must sees? All options on the table. Thanks so much!

We took a day trip to Stein Am Rhein and loved this cute town. It took about an hour by train. The farmhouse museum there was fantastic-better than any museum in Zurich. Be prepared for some expensive meals in Zurich.

One of our daughters lives in Zurich so we've been there twice a year (looking forward to Christmas there this year. Visit the Landesmuseum (the National Museum) next to the train station. Walk around in the old town (Niederdorf, and the Altstadt) and down the Limat to the lake shore. Take a ride on a lake steamer. Uetliberg has a wonderful view of the city. Stop by the Sternen grill and have a bratwurst (being remodeled last summer, may be back in their regular spot soon, if not already). Are you a history buff? The Wasserkirche was important in the reformation, as was the Grossminster. Spend a LOT of money on dinner. Thomas Cook has a lovely small guide, Cityspots Zurich, which you can order on Amazon (the Cityspots is a great series) and Rick's Switzerland guide has a good section on Zurich. Beyond that...it's off to Luzern, and up Rigi with a steamer on the Zurichsee (there's info to plan this on the internet) or Pilatus. Zurich isn't a tourist town as such. Dress up, the locals don't dress as casually as we do. Have a great time!
