We are coming off an Eastern European tour and have 3 days in Vienna -- What would be a good itinerary?

Spend all 3 days in Vienna with a sidetrip to Schonbrunn Palace taking up half of one of them. It would take too long to list the many things to do in Vienna, a short list is: Schonbrunn Palace, Hofburg Imperial Aptmts, Hofburg Treasury, visiting the world famous Opera House, art museums, Lippizaner stallions, coffee houses, zacher torte, and much more.

Start with the circle bus tour around the old town center. Then you can narrow to what interests you.
If you're there on the right night, go to the State Opera. You can get standing room tickets. Take a scarf to secure your place at the rail and then go get a coffee before the show starts.
