Does anyone have experience with storing luggage (baggage) in the lockers at the train station in Amsterdam or Brussels? We are going to Amsterdam with a 2-3 day side trip to Brussels and Bruges. If it is safe we who like to leave some luggage in the lockers just so it is easier to move around. Has anyone tried this? Your experience?

Brussel Centraal station doesn't have lockers, but it does have a left-luggage check counter.

Brussels Central does have lockers, but when I last visited in June 08 they had all been vandalized so none were usable. But as Tom says a luggage hold counter is available.
