Hi- Is there a train that goes from Paris to Chamonix? We are going to France in Sept. and would like to avoid the expense of a car. We plan about 2-3 days in Chamonix. Thanks, Kim

There is no direct train, you have to make a few changes. There are two different routes, one that goes entirely through France and another that takes you through Switzerland via Geneva. You can check schedules at the Swiss Rail site: www.sbb.ch/en
