We have a 24-hour layover in Paris on our way home from Italy. We'll want to spend the day seeing as much as we can but probably will not go crazy. Where would you suggest staying?

If it were me, I'd stay at the airport so as not to have to lug suitcases into the city for a one day sojourn.
