Salzburg would require an entire day. It is a 3 or 3 1/2 hour train trip from Vienna to Salzburg; so a minimum of 6 hours in transit and you will want to spend several hours in Salzburg seeing the sights. I would probably recommend saving Salzburg for another trip. There is so much to see and do in Vienna that you can easily fill 2 days without getting bored. I hope this is helpful. Have a nice trip!
