My younger daughter is an exchange student living in Brittany. My wife, older daughter and I are going to pick her up this June when she finishes. We fly into Paris, and have 2 days before we need to pick her up. We ae going to spend 5 days in Paris at the end of the trip. We are then going to pick her up, tour around Brittany, go to Normady, and then have about 1 week.
Any Ideas?
Thanks.
If seeing cathedrals is your cup of tea, most of the most beautiful and oldest are in Northern France at Amiens, Rouen, Reims, Laon, Soissons, Noyon, Beauvais. They are all accessible by SNCF trains, and can be visited in conjunction with Bayeux, the Normandy beaches, Honfleur, Brittany. I was just in Amiens yesterday and wish I had allowed more time -- it is a very charming town with apparently a lot to do. Most French towns have their own tourist center websites -- you just have to hunt around for them. For instance, here is the site for Amiens: http://www.visit-amiens.com/
