Hank, can I hijack your question a little bit - same topic, kinda. We are staying in Meersburg, plans to tour the Old Castle and the town. Next we will head to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Along that route what would you all think is the best place to stop for half a day - ideas being tossed about are (in no order) Mainau, Lindau, or finding a wine tour along the route.
From Rothenburg, we will head towards Munich - any suggestions of a stop along that route? Thank you, as always for all your insights
