Ok, so this is LAST minute! my husband and i are taking our two girls (9 and 10yo) to Europe in July, and are starting in Paris. Looks like most hotels don't accommodate 4, so we are looking for an apartment. we are thinking our Paris leg will be around 3 nights. I've been searching all over, and would love some suggestions for apartments in Paris to stay in.. most likely july 9-12th. Thinking that the Rue Cler area would fit what we are looking for, but i have to confess i'm a bit overwelmed by the options of areas to look. I would love to spend no more than $150 per night, AND to top that off we want to stay in a cool location near the major attractions. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!
Did you look at Vacations In Paris? They rent apartments for short stays, even 3 nights, and they have several in the Rue Cler area if that is what you would like. We stayed in the Eiffel Hideawaybwithour two daughters and it was perfect. One block from Rue Cler ( fresh croissants from the bakery every morning for our breakfast) and each evening we could walk over to the Eiffel Tower to enjoy it all lit up. The website is www.vacationinparis.com. And the Eiffel Hideaway is #58. At $190 a night it is a bit more than your goal. They have lots of others, and you can search by price if that goal is firm.
$150 a night in July is going to be very difficult - you may find something but it definitely will be in the outer arrondisements. During the summer most apartments require a stay of 7 nights - however, some will go with a 3 night minimum with an additional fee. I would try searching on Vacations in Paris and VRBO for apartments. The Citadines chain is also a good option but it will be higher than $150 night. Good luck!
I just checked and the Garden Studio, on the ground floor in the same building as the Eiffel Hideaway, sleeps four and is only $140 a night with a three-night minimum. If you search under the "$" price category for apartments that sleep four, you will find nine apartments, including several in the Marais and one in the Fifth, mall in the $135 to $160 a night range. Vacation innParis is an easy company to deal with and there are no hidden fees or surprises.
thanks yall!! i just sent a request for availability to the gardens studio. hopefully it will be available! i'll look at all of the options mentioned. i appreciate everyone's help so much!!!
We've stayed at the apartment for the Hotel Relais Bosquet in the Rue Clare area - though they book months in advance. Fantastic location and space for 4 in their larger apartment. I also understand that a few of the other hotels offer apartments as well. We liked renting the apartment through the hotel - as we still had access for assistance through the hotel staff.
Just looked at Hotel Relais Bosquet, and the apartment is full :(
You can also check airbnb.com. I have an apartment rented in July in the Marais area for $155 a night that sleeps 4. Also, before we settled on an apartment, I used a helpful list that gave hotels that offered quad rooms. Maybe this will help you too! http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g187147-i14-k1554693-List_of_Hotels_with_Family_Quad_rooms-Paris_Ile_de_France.html
