Need to be close to the Christmas markets

How close? We stayed at the Marientor Ibis last year. It is about a block from the pedestrian zone (near the train station) making it about 10 minutes walk from the Christkindlmarkt. It is a basic, newly remodeled but quite comfortable hotel. It had a full breakfast with a lot of variety. We made reservations on hrs.com.
