We're renting a car for several days in Germany --- I have one of those iPod hook-ups that plugs into a cigarette lighter and uses radio waves to play through your car speakers... will that work? (sorry if it's a dumb question!)

Amanda, I have one also. on mine you can tune to 98.8 or some other number. Here the fm dial goes in .odd numbers and the cars I've rented in Gernmany are the same. Also you might want to pick up a cord with 2 male ends. One for your earphone out jack and one to plug into an adapter on then car radio. I used it this way on Chryslers I rented in Hawaii. Good luck!
