16e arrondissement

I found an apartment that looks great in that area. She said she is very close to the Porte Dauphine. I know its a bit out of the city center but I think its nice that its near Bois de Boulogne. What do you think of the 16e arrondissement?

I've stayed in the 16th a few times when a friend lived there. It's beautiful, with many fine residential streets and has its share of cafes, bakeries, and other shopes. Not that out of the way and if you're a walker, not that far from the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees or the Eiffel Tower. I've visited the Parc Bagatelle, the fantastic rose garden, in the Bois de Boulogne several times, too, and there are never many people around (just don't walk around the Bois at night). I would stay in the 16th again in a heartbeat.

Jessica - I visited the Marmottan Museum in the 16th and we wandered around a bit. I thought it was a very nice area. It seemed to be a safe and it was easy to get to and from the city center via the metro.

If you go to the Marmottan, there is a nice little restaurant we found on Chaussée de la Muette, which you will pass on your way to the museum. It is a good place for lunch. Salon de Thé Dominique Geffroy and it is at No. 8 on Ch. de la Muette.
