... sorry, we haven't been guests at the Amsterdam Parklane. But twice, we have taken rooms at the Hotel Gouden Kettingh. Obviously, we thoroughly enjoyed our stays. Centuries ago, the building was the residence of a well-to-do Amsterdam merchant. The hotel name means Golden Chain Hotel and refers to an ancient incident involving a servant in the household. The hotel is right on a famous Amsterdam canal and easy walking distance from Centraal Station (but I would get a taxi if I had luggage to move).
