IMO, a Paris Pass is not a good deal because the Paris Visite pass that comes with it is way overpriced. If either of your sons is under 26, he can get a Ticket Jeunes which is a one day-pass good for either Saturday or Sunday. Buying ten-ticket carnets as needed and sharing the tickets may be a good choice. For all your transportation options go here: http://tinyurl.com/3bwnp3.
Buy a Forfait Loisirs for Versailles which includes roundtrip transportation along with admission. See here: http://tinyurl.com/y84c3o.
Buy regular train tickets from Paris to Vernon and take a bus from Vernon to Giverny.
If you're going to see a lot of museums, then the Paris Museum Pass might be a good deal. See www.parismuseumpass.com.
Thanks everyone!
