Paris Museum Pass vs. Paris Pass

Will be in Paris in May with two small children (5 and 20 months). Will definitely be getting a pass of some sort, but unsure whether Paris Museum Pass or Paris Pass will be the better deal for us. As much as saving money, we are looking to save time (ie: not so many lines). Does the public transport part of the Paris Pass make it worth the extra price? My daughter has already expressed an interest in a river cruise of some sort, so that is a definite. We will obviously be taking the Metro, but hadn't thought about the open top bus. Any advice?

IMO, the Paris Pass is NOT a good deal because the Paris Visite transportation pass that goes with it is way overpriced.

Buy Paris Museum passes. Buy other kinds of transportation passes and/or carnets. To see your options, go here: http://tinyurl.com/3bwnp3. What is best will depend on how many days you'll be in Paris, what day of the week you'll arrive and what day of the week you'll depart, and what zones you'll regularly be traveling in.

I agree w/ Tim. The museum pass is good because you can pass the lines. You have to decide what consecutive dates, but if you go to at least 2 museums a day (or landmark sites), its paid for.

The Paris Pass is like the London Pass.. overpriced. You have to run like a headless chicken to break even on that.

If you take the metro, buy the 10 pack or the Carte Orange.
