Heading to Madrid from 6th to 9th of December, and have done lots of research on sightseeing, christmas market, tapas, shopping, dancing, etc. but was wondering if anyone had anything spectaular happen that may not make it onto these travel tips? Even an amazing restaurant, shop, etc... Also...what is the best way to get to & from the airport/hotels? Some hotels offer shuttle services & some don't. Are taxis too much? Thanks!!!

Not sure about the happenings in December, but there is something at all seasons in Madrid to see and do! As for transport: The airport express buss, 5 euors, is great if it goes near your hotel..check its website for the three stope it makes. Also, Aerocity Van service is good...will be less than 20 euros almost anywhere in the city...taxis may run up to 40.

The Airport Express bus is a great option. Plenty of room for your bags, and it's a comfortable ride.
