Can anyone recommend a budget hotel in/around Munich that offers family rooms for 4 people. Mom, Dad, & two tweens. Thanks. We will have a car.

Hi Margaret,
The above link is possibly a good place to start your research. Next, we recommend you email your selected hôtels with specific questions on accommodations and pricing. Gute Reise! P.
Have you considered an apartment? We stayed in a fine place in Giesing section of Munich called Gasthof or Gasthaus Hubman(n). It is located in a building that was once a family home (the owners now live on 2d floor and rent other floors). It is close to trams and metro, near a bikepath and park and convenient to shopping
Both of these hotels are budget, get good reviews on tripadvisor and are located at the Viktualienmarkt very near the Marienplatz which is an excellent location.
1) Hotel am Viktualienmarkt

2) Hotel Blauer Bock

We stayed at the Blauer Bock with 4 people:

The room was cozy but workable for 4 people. The breakfast was very good and the location excellent. The staff was friendly.
The car will not be a benefit in Munich. Parking will cost you 15 to 19 euros/day per the Blauer Bock website. If you stayed on the edge of Munich to save parking fees, you would have to spend about 18 euros for a Partner day pass on the metro system or 27 euros for a Bayern-Ticket day pass for the trains and Sbahns.

Thanks everyone. We booked into the vitulianmarkt. Sounds great. We'll probably not rent the car until we're ready to leave. Thanks again.
