We fly out of Bordeaux at 6:05 on Sunday morning but according to the website the don't open until 5:30. What gives?

The best advice for this would be from the airport. Have you contacted them?

Ruth are you flying out of Bordeaux to another Schengen country? In that case being there an hour ahead is fine, but that stil is earlier then 5.30,, personally I would go to airport at 5 am , even if it meant I might show up to a closed airport( usually means airport is open but desks are not staff, so you could wait inside usually anyways) .. I am just pretty cautious that way. If however flying internationally I would contact airport to find out the situation since I would never show up only an hour before one of those flights. Who are you flying with, have you tried contacting the airline and asking them what time they staff there desks at that airport .
