We are having a real problem booking and finding a reliable affordable company that will take us from the port to Paris and back. We don't want a tour in Paris, we are fluent in French. Just looking for a private car for a party of six to and from the port.Help!

Have you checked the Ports of Call boards section of the CruiseCritic forums? You might have a better chance of finding a response there. Paris Connections will take you, but it's really expensive. Have you looked into taking the train? I know it's roughly 2.5 hours each way, but I'm not sure it's any slower than driving it. You could also try renting a car (park at an RER station just outside PAris and finish the route on the RER if you don't want to drive into Paris)

Maria, since it is such a long-ish trip to Paris, have you considered going to Honfleur or Bayeux instead? Paris will be there for your next trip to France but the towns closer to le Havre have their attractions as well and in this instance may serve you better.
