I am traveling fom Paris to Heathrow on BA and then connecting to SFO thru Virgin Atlantic, the flights were not booked together. I have been told I will have to retrieve any checked luggage in Heathrow and re check it to SFO. I arrive at termianl 5 and depart terminal 3. What is a reasonable amount of time to a lot for the connection? Thanks in advance for any help on this! Best JD

Thanks for your response and i have used the tool in the past, however it does not account for checking and rechecking luggage it only addresses carry on luggage. Thanks again!

Two hours probably won't work. Three hours probably will. I've no idea what the links show, but if you get any more, make sure that what you glean from them reflects travel on a non-EU passport rather than having departed from another EU nation. I'd guess the links probably show how to physically make the move so you might want to think about that section - - or just follow the signs as people who don't ride the Internet do. Sometimes the Internet doesn't know what it's talking about. In the good old days, you just asked the guy who did it a couple of weeks ago what it was like and pressed on.
