hotel in Rome

We will be staying in Rome for one night. Can you recommend an affordable hotel, not at the airport.Our cruise ends there and we have one day to spend in Rome before we leave for Switzerland. Thanks!

If leaving via train, I would stay in the Termini area. Also convenient from the cruise ship. We have used Hotel Sonya and Aberdeen near Termini. For one nights we have also used Contilla.
