I want a day tour with guide from Estepona, Spain to Tangier - recommendations? I saw Viator.com but did not want to book it without knowing anything about the day tour company

As you may or may not know Viatour is not a tour company, just middleman that sells the tours of other companies, often at a markup. You can usually buy direct online from company yourself .
Have you gone onto the tripadvisor website , their forums for Spain and Morocco are alot busier then here , so you may get some better ideas.

If you try doing a google search, you'll find the website is tripadvisor.com. In any event, you won't need it. There are dozens of companies along the Costa del Sol that run day trips with guide to Tangiers. Check at your hotel or resort and they'll fall all over you with various offers. We paid about 65 Euro pp. the first time we did it, from Mijas Costa, east of Estepona...you're closer, so the travel time will be less. I think our tour ran from about 630 am to 8 pm, door to door.
