Wimbledon Tennis Tournament

I am planning on heading to Wimbledon next June with my wife for our honeymoon. It is out first time in London so we are unfamiliar with the area. I am just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on hotels to stay at in the London area that are easily accessible to the Wimbledon grounds (any form of transportation)? I am willing to pay a decent price (150-200 GBP) in order to get a quality room. I just don't want to spend too much money on the hotel. Also, does anyone have suggestions on how to purchase tickets for Wimbledon?

I once asked someone about buying tickets for the tennis. I was told the best way was to join your regional (national?) tennis club, to get some priority. Then submit a request for tickets - probably now. I believe you can get day passes to the grounds during the first week - just wander around and go in and out any of the outer courts. From what I have been told, Wimbledon is by far the hardest of the 4 slams to get tickets to. Also, next year's Wimbledon is a month before the Olympics, so I'm guessing hotel prices will be sky-high. Paris is so romantic. Why not Roland Garros?

Very little is easily accessible to Wimbledon the place becomes a total zoo for traffic during the tournament. You are best staying in West London anywhere that has good public transportation to the Wimbledon area, as that will be faster than a taxi or driving. I was lucky enough to the men's semis / women's quarter finals a couple of years ago. I took a bus from Chiswick and walked from the stop to the all england club. On the way back I got a taxi ride to the nearby Southwest Trains station at Putney and a train back to Kew Bridge station.

I took the Tube, not affected by a buildup of road traffic. Easy walk to the grounds. I was staying in Earls Court area at the time
