I'm looking for recommendations of places to stay in Portree on the Isle of Skye. Does anyone have some suggestions?
Thanks!
When will you be visiting the Isle of Skye? In early May we will be staying at a B&B in Portree. If you would like any info we can reply back about our accomodations upon our return.
We enjoyed Ben Tianavaig. Friendly hosts and our room had a view of Portree Harbour.
I stayed here two nights last June: Seaforth Cottage Ian MacKinnon Viewfield Road Portree Isle of Skye IV51 9ES
tel: 01478 612040 My room (two twin beds) looked out on the harbor. The two other rooms in the B&B were en-suite, while this one had a private bath (harbor views while enjoying the deep tub). Breakfast was terrific. I was traveling alone, and the price was £50/night. The B&B was at the end of a narrow road, right on the harbor. The narrow road connected off a main roadway leading into Portree. I liked that I could walk into the center of town easily, and (not something that appeals to many, I know :-) the building nearly across the roadway was the local school in which you find the public library. Cheers.
Thanks everyone! I will check out your recommendations. I am not going until late Aug. but I am finding that a lot of places in Portree are already booked up.
