I need suggestion on where to stay in London. I don't mind hostels if they have private double rooms. I also need to get to Waterloo station to catch the eurostar to paris at 6:30 in the morning. Any suggestions? Thanks!

London St Paul's YHA hostel has single and double rooms. Here is a link: http://tinyurl.com/293nc5.
From St Paul's the tube doesn't start running early enough to get you to Waterloo in time to meet your 30 minute check-in deadline. However you can get there in time by bus. Use the Journey Planner at www.tfl.gov.uk to see your route options. Take a taxi if you don't want to change buses at that time of day.

The Oxford Street and St Pancras YHA hostels also have double rooms. From Oxford Street you can get to Waterloo without changing buses.
