Where to stay in London?

When are you going? There's a lot of B+B's in London for under 100 pounds, but remember they are not the traditional ones as found here in the US. You get a bed, an English breakfast and some cases you have to share a bathroom (ie: toilet and shower). Many don't have elevators/lifts.

There's many near Russell Square.

The Garden Court Hotel was great ! Close to Paddington Station and the Underground, great staff, clean room, OK breakfast.

The Luna & Simone Hotel (http://www.lunasimonehotel.com/) on Belgrave Road (about 10 minutes from Victoria Station) would be a good place to check out. We were in London last November and stayed there. We had a double room with ensuite bathroom, breakfast included, for 85 pounds. Great location and the nicest owners you could ever want to meet. Bus 24 stops right outside the hotel.

If you don't mind sharing a bathroom, check out the Arran House Hotel (www.arranhotel-london.com), a B&B in Bloomsbury. A basic double is £77.

Premier Travel Inn County Hall is a great location with decent rooms for under 100 pounds. It has all the charm of a Holiday Inn. It is within walking distance of Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square and many other sites depending upon how much you like to walk. The London Eye is right outside your door. Both the Westminster and Waterloo tube stops are within two blocks.

We stayed at the Cherry Court Hotel about a week ago and it was only 55 pounds for a double. Tiny room and tinier bathroom, but an awesome central location right by Victoria Station. It's in the book!
