We will be in Glasgow for a couple of days in July. Any suggestions on places to stay near the downtown because we won't have a car.

We stay in the Victorian Hotel which is only a few yards away from the Glasgow School of Art. Its walking distance to Buchanan Bus Station, Queen Street train station, and we've walked to and from Central Station. In fact, we have walked all over downtown. The Rough Guide to Scotland has been our handbook. You can book your reservations directly and now wouldn't be too early.

I stayed at the Premier Inn near George Square. It was very convenient and clean and pleasant. It is close to train stations and the bus to the airport. Pam
